The KNAE is a monitoring device used to monitor frequency, voltage, phase sequence,
angle displacement and vector surge in a 2-, 3- or 4-phase mains net. Measurement can be carried out with or without a neutral conductor in a 3-phase mains net. Frequency measurement
is available for each of the 3 phases. The vector surge detector can be set for any or all of the phases. A special internal terminal circuit makes it possible to detect a dropout in the neutral conductor in the 3 conductor + N network.
The monitoring of nominal voltage and frequency in accordance to DIN VDE-AR-N-4105:2011-08 or the dynamic support acc. to BDEW medium-voltage directive can be enabled by the corresponding parameter setting.
Configuration
All setting options can be conveniently configured using the ’KuPa 010’ parameterisation software. Values, but not texts, can be optionally input directly into the device. The ability to input directly into the device can be PIN protected. The display text is shown in 2 languages. The standard is German and English. Switching between the two languages is possible at any time during operation. Additional languages can, if requested by the customer, be set up and made available.
