The KOW-4.3 contact guard can check the switching status of 4 independent contacts and detect cable breaks and short circuits. To operate the KOW-4.3, the contacts to be monitored must be connected with a combination of resistors. The resistors must be attached directly to the contact to be monitored, this is the only way to ensure that the cable path is monitored correctly.
The NPN switching outputs can be loaded with a maximum of 200mA. The load must be connected between the output terminal and the positive pole. The fault outputs are normally connected to 0V. In the event of a fault, the fault output assigned to the faulty contact becomes high-impedance (opens).
Fault and operating messages are indicated individually by light-emitting diodes.
